This is my tribute to bill hicks, a provocative, funny, and hardhitting comedian who not only was hilarious, but had a point in his sketch. Unfortunately, he died nearly ten years ago because of pancreatic cancer (you could see the effect it had on him in the last segment). Since then, his popularity has grown even more, as what he used to say still has relevance today. It is remarkable how welll his sketches on the first Iraq war still apply today. He never made it really big, since his views were very extreme and too shocking for mainstream TV. He was pro-smoking, pro-drugs, anti-religious extremism, anti-republican, and anti-pop culture. However, an underground cult has grown in his support, and everyone of its members absolutely adores him. Although I do not agree with a lot of his points, his hard hitting style and his thought-provoking segments have definitely influenced me, so here's to you, Bill Hicks.
