Several of Bahrain's local newspaper carried stories of the discovery of a group of Satanic worshippers in Bahrain.

Apparently, an operation to catch them while they were at one of their parties failed to yield any results. Included in the rituals of the worshippers was consuming alcohol excesively and dancing to rock (heavy metal) songs, and dancing until getting drunk with hysteria. Furthermore, there was a certain person who did not shower for months (bloody hell, didn't his parents notice the smell?), and where attendants had to pay 500 fils to the devil in order to smell him!

Now why would anyone want to worship the devil? Not to disappoint, Akhbar Al Khaleej has carried out an investigation and their research yielded the following: The Arabic world was able to resist the onslaught of Satanic worshippers until the latter part of the last century, but then it was Egypt who was the first country to see their rise. The main reasons for their infiltration is due to a jewish movement targetted at Islamic countries and the profileration of hippies and rock n roll in the 1960s.

However, a contributer in al Wasat newspaper had a different (or maybe complementary) explanation to why it reached Bahrain. The main reason, as he sees it, is because of private schools. These schools bring in foreign teachers with suspicious ideas and hidden agendas that corrupt our youths heads. Furthermore, no supervision whatsoever is exercised on them from the ministry of education. He therefore calls for strict supervision and control on these schools from the ministry of education.
