Sheesh, we really need to find a solution to this (lack of) sex problem in Bahrain.

I know so many guys that languish in agony and slowly crumble inside because of this problem. We expect and want our wives to be virgins until they are married. We, however, from the age of 12, have our minds mainly preoccupied with sex.

If you are not willing to go to prostitutes, are not extremely confident with women (and by confident I mean here to the point of chasing her in a car within one minute of meeting her and chatting her up in the street and giving her your number), and you are not married, then you are basically buggered (obviously not in the literal sense).

Ever since puberty hits, your mind switches from one head to another (excuse the crass pun). However, you are not supposed to have sex until you are married. And that is, ohhh.... at least 13 years down line. You need money, a car, a job, a life. You basically have a long time to wait before you're supposed to have sex.. Now, you don't need an Einstein to tell you that that is extremely and highly implausible.

This problem did not use to exist 50 years ago, since you probably got married by the time you were seventeen. I also think the boredom factor I talked about before increases the attention paid to sex (just witness Cuba for example, the prime reason that is given for high sexual promiscuity there is that the youth are bored and have no money.)

So what do people do? Some go to prostitutes. Some lucky ones are able to study abroad. Others in Bahrain have to spend days on end chasing girls in Bukawarra on the hope that she will give him her number. He then would have to chat with her for ages, on the hope she will meet him. He'd then have to meet her a few more times in the hope of getting a peck on the cheak. They might be able to progress from this, but actual sex is a biiiigggg no no. You can guess why.

I've seen this drive people crazy. I even feel the effect on myself when I go back home. I spend two weeks in Bahrain and you can, unfortunately, see your perception to women slowly changing into a more degenerate, crass outlook. You hardly have the chance to speak or meet regularly with women who aren't your relatives in Bahrain. Your mind predictably shifts to that which you don't have. You start slowly associating women primarily with sexual thoughts, and it's hard to dig through that first layer and not have a superficial and chauvinist outlook. No wonder you find guys who are extremely crass to women all the time ( I'm not that deprived yet, thank god), when the only women they've ever seen are probably Mom and sis.

Because of this, porn has become a necessary staple diet for males in every household. Out of the hundreds and hundreds of (young unmarried) guys I know, there are probably three who hold they never watch porn. Just log onto any chat on programs such as Paltalk and others, and you see that the largest propertion of people on them are Arabic.

What is the solution to all of this problem? I don't know. Most people (including myself) fall into the dillema of wanting to marry a virgin, but wanting to have sex before hand as well. It's hypocritical, and kind of contradictory (if everyone has sex before marriage, how can you get a virgin?),but hey, there isn't much rational argument that you can have with your animal instincts. We do need to find a solution to the problem however, and I dread to know what it will be.
