There has been a flurry of complaints (well, actually it was 2 comments and 3 emails) about pregnant ballots, hanging chads, voting irregularities, technical difficulties, and mainly the unbelievably biased selection of the panel. Hence, the selection panel has been fired and an open race (with no criteria whatsoever) has been put in instead. You can vote for anyone now, including voting against everyone (RON).

The selection panel came up with the idea, criteria, and nominees list at about 4 in the morning. It realizes that it probably was not in its complete mental powers, and apologizes sincerely for that error. They would also like to apologize sincerely for the 15 or so voters who have voted already. The panel would like once again to express its deep regrets for this episode, and wishes that everyone now votes.

The voting period has been extended as well, to cover the period of 12:00 A.M. December 25 2004 to 11:59 P.M 14 Jan 2005 (G.M.T.).

Furthermore, just to reassure the skeptics, the voting will not be stopped and restarted once again; This is the final list. The panel would like to wish each and every blog the best luck, and may the best blog win!
